Buying in Leisure World is a unique process. Most homes are stock cooperatives — meaning all-cash purchases — but condos with traditional financing are also available. We'll walk you through every step.

Age Requirement
At least one resident in the unit must be 55 years of age or older. Leisure World is a 55+ community under California and federal fair housing law.
Stock Co-ops (Most Units)
You purchase shares in the cooperative, not a deed. These are all-cash transactions — no mortgage financing. The board must approve all buyers.
